Toxic Holocaust fall victim to conservative Christians and concerned parets!

http://www.wkrn.com/global/video/flash/ ... epage&clip

Quote:
TOXIC HOLOCAUST’s Joel Grind commented on the situation: “Unfortunately, the protesters here don't see the tongue-in-cheek aspect of any of this, and are taking everything at face value. What else is new? Whatever you do don't look into or research anything, and don't, god forbid, think differently. Fuck it, while we're at it, don't think at all.

To clear a few things up, there was a news clip that showed our video "Nuke the Cross" and then directly cut to lyrics for a song called "Hang the Pope". Even though we did record a cover of that song on our first demo, that song is actually by Nuclear Assault. I think that was done intentionally to make the story have more impact and more shock value.

Secondly, I want to thank the people running Rocketown for allowing this show to go on despite the protests. It just proves that being Christian and being closed minded doesn’t have to be synonymous with each other.

Everyone has a right to believe in whatever they want. If it empowers you and doesn't infringe on anyone else, then I'm all for it. Sadly the herd mentality of organized religion doesn't work like that. It's too much of a threat to the very foundation on which it’s based. Let's end organized religion and stop the real evil in this world.”

EDIT: But they're actually playing at a "Christian-themed" venue?

Can kinda see the Christians' point for a change here.

But then I don't really think, when you get right down to it, that Mr Grind actually wants to nuke anything, never mind the cross. Get a life, Christians!

Louisville on 1/22. Isn't that only about an hour or so away from Cincinnati? I might go to that show, its only a little over an hour from Indy, and its on a Friday to boot.

It's two hours away. I didn't notice it was on a Friday which could maybe let me weasel something out. :omfg:

Unexpectedly level-headed article. Well done, Grauniad. :dio:

All I read was "we're slayer. we're not friends. we make albums and tour for the money not because we enjoy it."

Heavenly - Carpe Diem album cover revealed.

http://www.heavenly.fr/

I don't like it.
But hey! Heavenly can now officially join At Vance and Arthemis in the "Power Metal bands that feature totally unfitting nudity on their album covers" club! :lame:

Don't judge a book by its cover. This band is amazing, I'm almost embarrassed to by this one though. That cover is as bad as bad can get.

Seems like one I might enjoy, as long as he keeps his horrible
high pitch vocals out of it...

.:crast:.
