This is not like his jazz stuff. This is Angra without being Angra. I can't wait to hear this all the way through.

Duh..... Ok, since you were waiting for someone to respond, here it is. I wasn't able to get into this band. The vocalist annoyed me. I am not sure who was on vocals when I listened to them. But, whoever it was, sounded like he's trying too hard to be melodic.

Well you're referring to Angra, this is Kiko Loureiro's (Angra's guitarist) solo project. No vocals.

With that said, what era Angra were you listening to? There are two vocalists, both are brilliant IMO.

I will have to check that since I don't remember. I don't dislike them strongly. To be fair to them, I haven't listened to any albums as such. Just about 4-5 songs. I just found it hard to like the vocals. I will check them and let you know. I like their music though.

Sounds like you're talking about Andre Matos. They've done three albums since he left with Edu Falaschi, who has a much more gravelly voice.

I am not sure which one I listened to. But, one of the songs had lyrics that sounded like "Skies are falling down" or something. Haven't been able to give the disc a spin due to a busy week. Will relax a little and listen to them again.
