Just posting to push this to the top of the list as a new interview. I used an older unused entry for this one.

Awesome! It's good to hear a well known power metal band call themselves power metal... *cough* *cough* Sonata Arctica *cough*

Great interview. I saw them in Chicago back when they did their s/t tour, when they first got Lauri. He is an amazing musician. And the crowd there was a good 300+.

He seemed a little defensive on the Tolkki questions, but a nice informative interview nonetheless. Well done, Marty. :)

That's understandable they pretty much want to put all of that stuff behind them so they can concentrate on brighter things for the band.

Does anyone know what's up with Timmo Tolkki's Project Strato? There was talk of an album this year, but the MySpace page looks to have vanished.

I know he is busy writing a book. So, I'm sure that is where 90% of his time is spent. I've read little excerpts, and its basically him trying to justify why he left Strato, why Strato is not really Strato, and a few things about his crazy life then more about Strato.

I'm sure "Project Strato" will be kind of cool, but the guy is spread so thin. He hasn't had a good idea since (like Lauri said) Infinite.

"Project Strato" should be pretty cool, but I wish he'd just call the band Dreamspace. And, y'know, get some brain medicine.

This explains what's going on more dramas, looks like next year for a release.
