There is a great 2 part interview with U.D.O. here:

BTW, his new album 'Dominator' is some of the best work he's ever recorded. :dio:

U.D.O. has always been the better band anyway, so who cares?

I guess I'll have to finally have to get some UDO because I highly doubt that.

Unless they have Wolf Hoffman on guitar.

It'd be nice if there were some sort of reunion. I want to hear Metal Heart live.

U.D.O. is far better than Accept without Udo. But better than Accept with Udo? Nay. Any one of their classics (Balls to the wall, Restless & wild & Metal heart) is better than all U.D.O discography.

I was lucky enough to see it live when Accept opened for Iron Maiden during the Powerslave tour....a million years ago

I don't think they'll be getting back togther. Udo seems to be happy with his current solo work.

U.D.O. rules! Any Accept fan should check it out, simple as that. Best place to start? They are all good. And no way in hell does Restless & Wild, Balls To The Wall and Metal Heart put together beat the entire Udo discography. This man has released high quality material for over 20 years without Accept and in my opinion he doesn't need to reunite with anyone. He already has a better band in U.D.O.

No way. U.D.O. is much better. They don't have that big hit song like Accept, but their catalog is much stronger overall.

Really? UDO discography in its entirety better than three absolute metal classics? This statement is not supported by any sort of logic except a fans subjective love of UDO. But historically speaking, no one will ever remember Udo for his solo work.

That. UDO disco is very solid one, with good to great albums, but without a classic one.

But I don't really want them to reunite. UDO's solo albums are better than the 90's Accept reunited ones (and that shitfest that was Eat The Heat). I expect actually better releases from UDO than from a reunited Accept.

Accept only have ONE classic album. Doesn't matter anyway. Stacking Accept's catalog next to UDO's, and UDO has the far stronger catalog.

Accept's debut is a classic in my opinion as well.

I very, very much doubt Accept can be any sort of success without Udo on vocals. Most of the time bands can carry on with a new vocalist but there are those rare occasions where one exact voice is the only thing that gives that certain magic. It's like trying to imagine Blind Guardian without Hansi or Saxon without Biff - impossible in other words.

Metal Heart the song alone is uber freakin' classic. I can't stop spinning it.

That's one. Three great albums; one classic.

Rstless & Wild, Balls To The Wall and Metal Heart are metal classics. Restless for instance, had "Fast As A Shark", one of the heaviest tracks recorded until then with doeuble bass and all. Groundbreaking song at least. Balls was the album that opened them up to larger audiences in the States... I'd say they are classics and damn good ones too.

But, if you put Accept besides the Udo discography it doesn't quite match up to the overall quality and consistency of the latter band. Udo doesn't have a bad album. In my opinion Accept does.

It'd be nice if he at least formulated an argument instead of making snide one sentence remarks that don't back his opinion. Just sayin'.
