I thought 10,000 Days was just as good or maybe even better than anything else they've done so I don't think they've hit their peak.

Didn't really care for 10,000 Days after the magnum opus that lateralus was.

+1

I never understood all the negative reactions to 10,000 Days. It tops Lateralus imo.

And this is why MR is postively thriving with new community members...

Ok, maybe not a retard but there are better ways to introduce yourself than starting a couple of silly threads.

I'd like him more if he knew that you're supposed to put a space after punctuation.

They're not particularly awful threads, I think this one in particular is a fair enough question. I'm sure people here have posted far worse in their first few posts.

I think it's also due to the powers that be allowing so much open discussion on bands, too. You know, by not locking threads and allowing forum reviews and stuff.

Rock! :dio:

Stop being bitchy, Ken, that rule was there in your time.

It's lame because nobody has a clue as to which new direction Tool will take on their next album or even if there'll ever be a next album.

Hmm, guess we could just delete the threads altogether instead of locking them. You know, like you used to.

And it was lame back then. Actually, it was put in place after I quit as a review. My mini-reviews were too devastating!

The Pot is probably my favorite Tool song, and that is saying a lot. However, there is also a lot of tedious atmospheric BS so while I don't question their creative powers, I question their judgement.

Ah, but I deleted threads that needed deleting. You guys lock threads that don't need to be locked or deleted.

But I really don't care. I was just goofin' with my first reply.

Ah, but that's a matter of opinion, innit? I know you were kidding, I've learned the finer points of your humor these last few years.

Actually, I'm not much of a thread locker. I'd rather just delete it if its that bad, as I did with the one our little friend LOUDBOY created this morning that earned him his new title. He went from relatively normal to uber troll in 4 posts time, that's a new record!

Perhaps you could write an article on the finer points of moderating, Ken, and then post it on the forum. We'd delete it immediately, of course, but it's the thought that counts. Or doesn't.

I honestly haven't sat down and listened to Toll since highschool, and that's about 6 years ago, now.

They have some alright songs but I never was into them, not my kinda thing. I don't think they're all too relevant today, but I honestly don't listen to anything besides metal and a few other things... So what do I know.

I'd call Tool relevant; bridging the gap between the alternate and the metal world pretty well, and they're very influential, as those of you that bothered checking my No Made Sense review out will know. :) I listen to their albums every so often, all in a row, love them and know them quite well, and it's a pleasant little run-through, but they're not an everyday band for me. Something to be kept and appreciated, like a good bit of malt whiskey.
