Testament ARE overrated. They haven't release a great album since The New Order...

Not a terrible band IMO, but they're pretty sucky besides their first album and they might have my favorite band name.

Their second album sucked.
Battle of Los Angeles is almost on par with their debut.

I'd much rather listen to Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth or Anthrax or several other 80's thrash/speed metal bands to Testament. Testament, for the most part, is boring.

But I still like the first 3 albums even if I like Practice What You Preach for sentimental more than musical reasons.

That's exactly the way I am with Testament. I just don't really listen to them anymore. A few years ago I thought they were awesome, now no-so-much.

I thought that the Formation of Damnation was a lot better than any recent Metallica or Megadeth releases, though.

They were listened to pretty heavily by me in my earlier days of listening to metal when I didn't know about a lot of bands, same with Metallica. I just can't listen to them anymore, I don't like the music.


So you insinuate Slayer is something one listens to when one "doesn't know alot of bands" yet you defend Testament...mkay :blink:
