Come on can you really say that with a straight face? Those myspace tracks put me to sleep.

Few shitty breakdowns, brutal and fast? Nice catch there noodles. I'd never give them a shot from my listening experience. All I heard before was crap. This is pretty ok.

Is this radically better than their last album? I didn't enjoy that one.

It's really not that hard even though Decapitated are cool for death metal people to like and Job For a Cowboy are not.

Sure noodles keep putting everything down to "what's cool". But can you listen to "Spheres of Madness", for example, and tell us this isn't/wasn't a band with a unique sound?

thats more or less true, I mean when you listen to Genesis it seems that the production is the only thing holding it together. The guitars are well produced, everything is relatively top notch but I mean if you listen to the album its probably the most castrated death metal album around.

Pretty much the only tracks that stood out on that album are Embedded and The Divine Falsehood (despite being a bit dull by the end). The rest blurred into mehness. I agree about everything technically being top notch though.

Decent album, quite enjoyed listening to it. A lot of that really dense and slammin' DM/Deathcore/whatever turns me off but I dug this one.

After checking out the full album, I must admit the first track Unfurling A Darkened Gospel does kick a hefty amount of ass. Energetic and powerful riffing, drumming that is up to dm standards, a really cool solo and some odd bits of melody thrown in for good measure. But somewhere between tracks 2 and onwards I just get bored and turn on the new Behemoth instead. Cool riffs show up every once in a while, but it all just gets monotonous pretty quick for me.
