I prefer the US version. The UK and US versions are so different, they are nothing like each other. I appreciate them both, but the US one has much better characters and actors.

Ricky Gervais > Steve Carrell, at least from what I've seen.

Finished the whole of Extras in about two days. Must be some of the funniest comedy ever! Ricky Gervais is genius and he knows how to surround himself with just as great supporting actors.

Halfway with Harper's Island. Quite tacky TV friendly horror, with enough eye candy to keep one interested.

Struggling to finish the last ten or so eps of Prison Break...

Dexter is great so far, nearly finished season 1 and have season 2 waiting after that.

This evening-wise, watched more Buffy. Whoa, Spike and Drusilla, awesomeness and hotness in one rather cool package!

Yep, Buffy season 2 is where the show really picks up, partially thanks to Spike being a badass.

2, 3, to some extent 4, 5 - good

6, 7 - faily fail shit shit

Saying that, I haven't watched any Buffy in years, chances are I'd think it was shit now.

I just got through season 5. I personally thought I'd find the series shit since I never watched it when I was younger, but it actually is a damn good show, with lots of good humour and some damn good story and character arcs. But season 4, while it had some good episodes, was definitely shit and season 5, while good, wasn't as good as seasons 2-3. I'm not looking forward to watching the last two seasons.

6 is just shit from top to bottom. 7 starts fairly promising but it becomes pretty clear about halfway through that they have absolutely no idea what they're doing with it and it just sort of peters out...
You're pretty much dead-on. Six couldn't have been good no matter what they did and seven had so much promise but they didn't put effort into it or simply had no direction for it from the beginning.

I can't believe y'all so willing to ignore the fact that Zad has a famous uncle. Bastards.

And sorry Devwal, forgot what with all the abuse you've been putting my way.

Who's the one who really hates Naruto around here, again?

Because I most definitely learned how to play the Naruto card game.
Hells yeah.

So anyone else hear that Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire is going to made into a TV series? Rumoured for a while but apparently confirmed as Peter Dinklage has been cast as Tyrion Lannister.

Yep, it's pretty awesome- even better that it's HBO. But let's not get too excited, because HBO has only ordered a pilot right now, which is a far cry from a TV series- still, things have been developing on this for a long time, and the recent successes of shows like Legend of the Seeker (Ugh), Merlin and even True Blood might show HBO there's a market for this.

From Matt Stone's Wikipedia page:
"Regarding his political views, Stone is pro-gay marriage, although he is a registered Republican. He said 'I hate conservatives, but I really fucking hate liberals.'"

A lot of people hate Michael Moore, I didn't make too much of it.
Anyway, that, coupled with some very, VERY stupid things Parker said about atheism make me re-evaluate my opinion of the two. What first seemed like good-natured fun and taking the piss out of everyone now comes across as immature proselytizing driven by personal prejudices.

I never saw why TA was as apparently balanced as it was. Leaving Chuck Norris out, ffs?

Come to think of it, Michael Moore even gave Stone and Parker a prominent spot on Bowling for Columbine, allowing them to express their views on gun control. Evidently, he thinks their opinion matters and has (or had) respect for them when he did the movie. And they in turn gratuitously mock him by comparing him to a terrorist.

They said they mocked him so harshly because he used the interview they did as part of a film whose message they didn't agree at all with... Which is probably a fair accusation, tbh.

Be that as it may, they just reinforce the perception of them as immature assholes. It's like Bill O'Reilly plus a lot of vulgarity.

They're fairly open about being immature, to be fair. I'm not sure they lose any sleep about being seen that way.

I wasn't aware one of them was a registered Republican, though. I thought they saw Republicans as one half of the "douche and turd" axis. Weird.

Yeah, but I mean... They lose credibility. It's one thing to be immature for the sake of being immature, but when you realize that the mockery they make of liberal icons is driven by personal opinions, and that they're having a strong impact on the way many teens and adults in the US think (wikipedia again)...
