i met a guy at the wedding who worked at a large multinational corporation, he said that one of his bosses enjoyed the company of eastern-european women, whom he often took to the racetrack to see his horses. he named his latest acquisition "my face" so that when his female friends go to the track they scream "COME ON MY FACE!"

if this is true, it's fucking brilliant :lol:

I'm going to try my hand at applying at Google. I have a friend who went through their interview process and didn't get a job there, but I think I'd really like to give them a shot, since I found an open position that desires many of my particular skills (C++, Java, SQL, etc.).

3 or 4 guys from my course applied to Google for an internship in a position specifically related to Portugal, all but one were turned down because of lack of work experience. hopefully because you worked before in your field they'll be satisfied about that... good luck!
