Totally man,its disturbing how alike he and I are about that stuff.Nietzsche is a great read for this sort of thing.I differ on the typical "obligatory download question" a bit though.I still buy cd's from time to time, but I have cut back on physical purchases immensly due to having little room, moving frequently, owning shitloads of cd's(thousands),and the burden that hauling around this shit carries.I buy digital now primarily, and I believe until the music industry starts pushing some boundries and taking creative action towards digital purchases and its security, then they are contributing just as much to the problem as anyone else, because all they do is sit on the sideline and bitch about it.

The movie and especially videogame industry is making the transition to secure digital downloads, and sooner or later the music industry better catch on to better effect or it'll continue to wound itself.Sure many people like having the real thing in front of them,as do I,but once I buy a cd,I never touch it once I've put it on my comp. It's a hassle for me and others like me.

Still, was hoping to hear more on the new album,I can't wait! This made me want to spin their older works, starting from their demo haha.Good ol' Morbid Angel, classic. :dio:

Islam needs to be erased, blah blah. Typical modern American to me.

It sounded like the standard anti-religion comment by a metalhead in my opinion. Seriously metalheads need to read something besides Nietzsche.

Why metalheads? I've surprisingly found the average metalhead to be quite undeveloped when it comes to philosophical notions about God.

How do you decide that they're undeveloped?

Organized religion bad yar! Against human nature yar! Individualistic religious paths good yar! That kind of non-sense.

The guy from Disfear and At the Gates actually said something intelligent along the lines of 'how can people criticize the treatment of women by islam, mainly head scarves, when in the west we have women in a lower social status and require them to wear make up and spend hours on their looks.'

Because we don't stone the women who don't wear make up.

Because physical pain isn't equal to emtional anguish, stress and self-resentment.

It doesn't kill you. Come on, I'm not condoning the objectification of women, but you have to agree there are varying levels of abuse.

No there aren't varying levels of abuse. All violence towards women, physical or emotional, is equal. Righting the emotional off as less important is just a way of you giving the West a free pass.

Edit:  @ Rio. An elephant never forgets.

You kill a woman by stoning her. Emotional damage, no matter how terrible it is (and I agree with you) doesn't kill 'em.

And fuck off, rio, I never wanted sterilization. That would be an affront to basic rights.

No. I'm in favour of stricter parental control, introducing pre-conception control as well. I never said sterilization. Even if it's illegal, you have rights over your body.

That's what "eugenics" means, is it?

That was a different argument!

Yes, it was. Eugenics is a science, I'm talking about a social condition. If I mixed the two it was unintentional.
