Good review, though it seemed to be building towards a score in the 80's. I'm gonna try get this sometime soon, as mentioned False History is a monster of a song.

Ahh shame. Well I suppose 73% for a band dealing with more experimental music is good I suppose.

Well, 73 is quite a good score according to the site guidelines. I didn't feel it deserved more; Xerath's best work is definitely ahead of them. It's an interesting attempt at originality, though, certainly a band I'll be keeping an eye out for.

Picked this up today in the bargain bin. I'd heard the Meshuggah comparisons (not a big fan of them) but also that they added enough acoustic flourishes and symphonic layers to make it interesting. As it turns out, my blind purchase was a solid one. The band's groove laden, stutter-stop riffs are used to excellent effect throughout the record never feeling staid or repetitious with the orchestral sections adding some fine texture to the overall sound. Will have to check out their follow-up release. I agree with Zad. Good things should be coming from these boys in the future.
