I don't know why I like this band so much. They don't have any outright amazing albums or anything. I just love their style. Also, Colossus is one of the most awesome songs ever.

That album is great though. Vintersorg just can't compare to Vortex.

I loved Borknagar for a week and then I just stopped listening to them oddly.

NP: Goatsnake - Black Cat Bone. It's like High on Fire but boring.

Ruins - Cauldron

Whoa, apologies to the Aussies who recommended this to me for not checking it out before - just got the promo of the worldwide release a few days ago. Great stuff, love the catchy drumming. Satyricon + Mayhem but with a unique bent? Anyways, review Monday (next).

Yeah that's a great album. The previous one Spun Forth From Dark Nets sounds a little too much like its inspirations, but Cauldron really has something indefinably unique....

Saw them play most of Cauldron live, was really good there too :dio:

Definately a band I'll be spending more time with. Loving all the diverse BM out at the moment...

NP: Peste Noir - Folkfuck Frolie

What's so bad about this, Minty? Might be less inspired than La Finny Dee Sickles, but it's hardly bad so far.

Wolves In The Throne Room-Black Cascade

After some deliberation, I've decided I like this.
