Gotta go with Alters by a lot. I also agree that Covenant is the best Morbid Angel album.

altars is definitely their best album. Blessed was too slow in my opinion. Altars is just badass

Just so I understand, you're saying that Covenant is better than Altars, because of Blessed's 'poor' compositional technique?

Far too stupid to be Ken. But it sure would be awesome if it was him.

no it ain't ken
ok you idiots your understanding of music isn't very good i see
fine let me demonstrate this with an example
'Thy Kingdom Come' for instance - the chorus riff, with that strange octave alternative technique...it's an awesome idea in rhythm, and in melody. But you can see, as the riff progresses, that it's just not as solid as you'd expect it. It's ''soft'' in structure, definitely not in depth in its own concept - and loses its own momentum and energy (and originality) by the end of its progression. Little compositional MISTAKES like those, just make Blessed a lesser album from the professional side

I recently just listened to both of these for the first time. Altars is definitely the heavier album where as Blessed has more...ambiance for lack of a better word. And for someone who is just now getting into death metal I have to give it to Blessed Are the Sick.

I prefer Blessed.

It's more sinister, more organic... more there, if you know what I mean. Can't really explain it very well.
