there are a few good new wave of thrash bands around
but blood tsunami is the most innovative

Violator is decent.

I'm not sure how many albums they have, but I have 1 of them and the 2nd half is much better than the first. IMO

Chemical Assualt I believe is the name of the album.

I heard some Eliminator yesterday. It was kind of crappy. Decent riffing, but again, I've heard those riffs in at least three or four other songs written 20 years ago. And the solo's are kind of wanky and not interesting. Plus I keep getting messages from the band on myspace asking me if I want to purchase their album. And they have Repka artwork, which to me is the functional equivalent of saying "Dont Buy Me."

All of these bands should just form into one giant band, and then they can localize their generic scenster worshipping shit into one Super-Shit-Cashmetal group. Seems like the best way to keep some integrity in thrash metal. If they're all in one band, then they can't all release albums that sound the same.

Some times I hear them by accident thus absolving me of any responsibility.

But for the most part, I consider it a form of research. I can't go around saying that these bands suck and all sound alike unless I listen to them, now can I?

Plus, I've seen a couple of these bands live because I've played with them. They are pretty sweet live, they just lose a lot of character when they go in the studio.

Dude Eliminator are pretty shitty.

Even I can admit that. Some kinda cool moments, but they are rather dull and stale. Pretty damn fast though, good for a distraction that's for sure.

done it before easily
lemme guess the vocals right............. :P
u get used it u know it's like vio-lence it sounds retarded at first then u just see how it makes the band and vocalist stand out
but frankly these crossover bands are poppin out of nowhere and sound so similar
the genre needs to be refreshed desperately

You didn't just compare Cross Examination to Vio-Lence...

Yes the vocals suck, and I don't think I could ever get use to them. But on top of the vocals sucking, so does the music.

The best part about Cross Examination is the Outro on their newest album. Not only does it signal the end of the album, but it has parts from Dirty Work in it.

Norm McDonald ftw please :dio:

I think Alice in Hell is considered the classic.

Yes, those are the two! :dio:
I like their "easy" album too, "Set the World on Fire"... Especially "Brain Dance" which is a fun/a little crazy song.
