Irrrronyyy. Not that I'm happy for her, but I can't let this go through without pointing out the irony.

The only dead wives worth mentioning are those who took part in business...
Now, if Wendy Dio, Sharon Osbourne or (what's her name) Cavalera's wife died, that would be news material. This is not.

Assholes because we don't care about a white "metal" vocalist losing his wife?
You're telling me you really care Mr. Goat?

I'm actually distantly related to her. Thanks for talking shit about my fifth cousin's wife dying.

Edit: My ridiculousness was too ridiculous it seems.

Let's face it, the hypocrisy of fake-caring is not metal at all. It's PC and pointless too...
I can have empathy but I have to relate at least a little bit... Sorry, with this particular news, I don't...

Tragedy is tragedy anywhere in life. Tragedy in the music business hits closer to home because we are all so closely tied to it. I guess Boston's Brad Delp committing suicide was not really "news" to you either. Whether or not you're "white metal", "black metal" or whatever makes no difference. Loss of life is tragic and when it happens in the music business, it's newsworthy at least on this site. Metal heads ARE caring and the hypocrisy of "fake caring" is something that exists in your mind only. It's quite simple.....don't care for a news post? ...don't read it and more importantly, don't talk shit about it if it's something not to your liking, especially when it deals with someone's death.......pathetic......I though people here had more respect than this

I did too. I've heard Stryper maybe once, and have little interest in hearing them again, but that doesn't mean that we can't have sympathy for the singer when a tragedy like this happens. Noteworthy that when Blaze Bayley's wife died people were much more sympathetic... because he was more 'metal'?

RIP to her....If people close to them were to pass...They wouldn't want people to say..."o, she/he wasnt very important so fuck em"...and why is it not 'metal' to care...so i guess in order to listen to metal we have to be pricks huh....that makes sense

Ho, c'mon! Don't make me pass for a jerk because I tell the truth... I do have sympathy for her family and, of course, it's tragic to them.
Recently, Lux Interior (The Cramps) and Ron Asheton (The Stooges) died. This wasn't judged worthy of this very site even if both these artists were hugely influencial and had long & productiive careers... And now THIS! The wife of a pseudo-metaller dies and we're all supposed to mourn? Fuck no!
Anyway, If it's not related to music, it belongs in Helheim...

I'm sure a metal website with a picture of Justin Timberlake has huge credibility...

Imho, you're just not trying to understand what I said. Never said it wasn't sad, it is. But Stryper were never metal (more like a bible-proud pop band) and the wife (god bless her soul) wasn't even remotely related to the music world... What's the point of this kind of news besides creating a debate on what is and isn't news worthy?

I'm sure you've discovered that we've chosen to get the News-section up and running fully again. It's getting updated much more frequently, and that is probably why this is here, and the Stooges-case wasn't.

Anyway, don't be disrespectful. My condoloences to her remaining family.

That sucks. Big sympathy for the family.

And there's no point making a post telling everyone how much you don't care. That's just being an asshole.

The wife of a guy in a pro-religion band dies.

He is so unbelievably immature, it hurts.
