BTW, I do still really love Family Guy, I just think it's a little bit overrated.

Also The Venture Bros. is a great show. Totally different from the other ones discussed in this thread, but awesome nonetheless. It's basically dysfunctional, adult-oriented Johnny Quest.

I never got into Futurama. My buddy really likes it and watches it all the time, so i've seen several episodes.

Besides the odd chuckle, I never really found it that funny.

I would like to show my support for the Venture Brothers.

Now you are making fun of us for liking this?

I have never thought Bernie Mac was funny, don't know where you're getting that from. And I'm not making fun of anybody. I just stating the fact that this thread pisses me off. When we start to dissect cartoons, we've lost our sense of humor.

I know you never said you liked Bernie Mac, but when it was posted that he died, you defended him from people who said he wasn't funny.

Anyway, who cares? As you said, implied, they are just cartoons.

And more people need to watch Frisky Dingo.

When we simply watch whatever is forced on to us by television execs without creating an opinion, we've lost something a lot more important than a sense of humor.

But if we choose to watch television, we can only watch what execs choose to air. And why shouldn't we criticize cartoons; they are no different than anything else.

i think South Park can say smart stuff sometimes but the show almost never offers a very fair perspective of the things they criticize.

I never really liked Southpark at all. My friends love it like it's the best cartoon ever. I feel like I'm mocking my own intelligence whenever I watch it. Really stupid.

Bingo. And you can't moralize (which South Park does, incessantly) without offering that.
