Sorry, but buzzsaw static and aggressive white noise isn't anywhere in the same league as Nobuo... Wait, what does Merzbow have to do with Nobuo anyways? They're not even remotely similar.

NP: FF VII OST -- Jenova Absolute

Erm... you got me there. Japanese musicians that the mainstream have never heard of?

I dunno about you, but making music for the most popular RPG franchise of all time makes you pretty mainstream. That would mean that their only similarity would be their ethnicity. Way to generalize and categorize soley on race, Zad, you goddamn racist. :P

NP: Fisherman's Horizon, piano version. Goddamn this is beautiful. I feel generous, so here's a link.

Haha, that wasn't my intention at all! Your guy does look rather weedy, my alcohol-ised mind must have made the connection. Whoops.

And LS, dude, there are only so many hours in the day. I agree, but couldn't you go on a writing course and join the team and do them yourself and leave me in peace with my obscure Death Metal?

Callisto - Rule the Blood. It's cool but not something I could listen to every day.

i feel bad that this is the first time I have ever heard this song, or any autopsy songs for that matter...

As you should. Have a listen to Mental Funeral. Definitely an underrated classic of the early 90s death metal boom.

Oh don't you worry, I will be defenitely checking out more Autopsy after listening to Severed Survival.

But before I get into more Autopsy, I need to finish what I am listening to now: Brutality -- Cryptorium

I am on an old-skool death metal run lately. Started with the A's and have worked my way down to the C's now. Doesn't seem like a lot, but the albums I've heard so far: Acheron - Rites of the Black Mass, Afflicted - Prodigal Sun, Armoured Angel - Stigmartyr, Asphyx - The Rack, Autopsy - Severed Survival, Bolt Thrower - In Battle there is No Law, Brujeria - Matando Gueros, Brutality - Screams of Anguish, Cancer - To the Gory End, Cenotaph - The Gloomy Reflection of Our Hidden Sorrow, and Cianide - The Dying Truth.

Jesus H. Christ that is a lot of death metal. And my list is still quite long, 2 1/2 pages more to go through. And yes, I am doing it in alphabetical order.

NP: Brutality - Spawned Illusion

Cancer are a bit simplistic and dull that early, in my view. Brutality rule, I must listen to them more. How was the Brujeria? :D
