He is pretty fantastic -- unquestionably so. He (along with Petrucci) just needs to let the music breathe, and stop tangling it up with those meandering duel solos, and shit.

+1 Absolutely! My only other critique would be for the two of them to break away from attempting to recreate Yes-like passages throughout the songs.
