Vanderbilt is so expensive. Hopefully, your parents own an oil refinery.

I feel like my posts are getting ridiculous due to my brain melting due to school.

Quote:
Stephen Green, national director of Christian Voice, complained to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) saying the adverts break the ASA's codes on substantiation and truthfulness.
'It is given as a statement of fact and that means it must be capable of substantiation if it is not to break the rules.'

'There is plenty of evidence for God, from people's personal experience, to the complexity, interdependence, beauty and design of the natural world.
'But there is scant evidence on the other side, so I think the advertisers are really going to struggle to show their claim is not an exaggeration or inaccurate, as the ASA code puts it,' said Mr Green.
The adverts contain the slogan: 'There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life,' whilst the ASA code states that 'marketers must hold documentary evidence to prove all claims, whether direct or implied, that are capable of objective substantiation'.

Feathers are being ruffled. Doubt the ASA'll rule on whether god exists...

Wait, so the ads can't go on buses because there's "no proof", but the churches advertising Jesus have proof? Proof for God's nonexistence has been dealt with extensively, IMO.

yeah it's expensive... and I'd be lying if I said I didn't come from a well-off family, but even we can't quite afford Vandy's full tuition... but luckily I live in Houston and for some strange reason Vandy offers a specific scholarship to students from the Houston area. That, along with my potential National Merit scholarship, should make it affordable.

The college process is pretty gay... so many insanely specific scholarships. The University of Texas at Austin offers a $3000 scholarship for students who are the children of Lutheran ministers... Cause that makes sense...

My friend was just telling me about the prison story.

I feel like that's the kicker to rule in favor of the atheists. If they simply admit it isn't capable of objective substantiation then they don't have to provide evidence?

Forgot to mention, Seinfeld26 has officially left the building. Wanted to concentrate on real life stuff, and yes, I did try and persuade him to stay. He'll be missed.

How difficult is to take twenty minutes to post? This could be directed at all people who leave for that reason.

Anyone who lives in Atlanta should check out the Scion Rock Fest.

it's near impossible to have a case thrown out due to mental health issues in Texas courts... There was a case a while back where a women with a documented history of schizophrenia drowned her children. When asked why, she said "the voices in my head told me to." She was sent to prison... a couple years later she was re-tried after her condition got worse and was sent to a mental institute (finally). Texas is fucked up basically.

Prince Harry gets caught calling someone a 'Paki' and 'raghead'. Lols ensue. Seriously, the Royals are the most useless bunch of inbreds...

Yeah, I remember that.
Well, look at the bright side, this dude can't be a menace to society anymore, no eyes and all that.
