Poser is a perfectly acceptable anglicisation of poseur.

And noodles and CotB are not ones... FS isn't either, really.... a poser/poseur would have listened to Nickelback in secret and not admitted it.

Dammit, all I do is listen to music that I think has some value. If that value is nothing more than the ability to write catchy pop songs, hell, that's good enough.
And State Of The World Address is as deserving as classic status than some of the other albums on here, IMO.

But the fact that everyone rose up to defend me makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside

True that. A poseur is someone who pretends to listen to elitist stuff while secretly being an Elton John fan.

I'd rather be trapped in a room listening to Elton John than trapped in a room listening to thrash metal. I'd eventually lose track of who's who for the latter, but I'll always know that I'm listening to Elton John.

Plus, he's heavier than any metal band. I mean, have you heard that thick piano tone he achieves? Fuck.

Would Warlock's "True As Steel" and "Triumph & Agony" qualify as a classic around these here parts? I certainly believe that they would. They both represent Doro Pesch at her finest.

Times Of Grace should get a Classic review. It was released in 1999, right? Ten years ago? It should get a review.

What you just said is so awesome. Now Arch Enemy's Burning Bridges should be a classic.

I say Souls At Zero and Enemy Of The Sun should get that honor, first.

I started a review for this ages ago, I'll finish it eventually. Much more deserving of classic status than, say, Arise, which I put on this morning and found pretty poor compared to BEENEEEF DA REMAAAAAAAIN.

I'm going to be doing a review of Gorguts-Obscura this week... but will probably just put it up as an archive unless anyone feels very strongly that it should be held back until it can become put up as a classic?

BTR and Arise are both killer albums, but Schizophrenia is my fav of the lot.
Riffs, riffs and riffs on top of fairly raw production...
nothing beats 80s metal, for me at least.

Hold back. An album of that calibur doesn't deserve an 'archive' label.

Isn't it already old enough to be classified as a classic? What's the policy here?
