Since yours is a new one, right? Like it's not used, it should last you a good long time. Mine is older, from the first wave of 360s that were pure crap. If yours is new then you should be fine, mine I believe is almost 2 years old.

Yes, I think they fixed this particular hardware problem for more than a year ago. What a mess.

Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to replace it than repair it 4 times? Fucking Microsoft.

Shit, I wanna play morrowind again

It's an odd set of purchases, actually, me being the FPSer I am. Still, heard such good things about all three, couldn't resist (£35 in total!)

Mass Effect is a great game, excellent one if you have patience and take the time to read about the world, the creatures and get involved in everything that's going on. I really liked the story and companions throughout the game.

Getting into it (although I spent a good half-hour patching, swearing and restarting before the darn thing would work) so far so good.

Good thing you got it going. What class did you choose? I played it through with a Vanguard on Xbox.

Played some Super Smash Bros Brawl last night after I watched some videos of pro's playing. I never knew it could be such a complex game.
Here's a half an hour video explaining some techniques if people are interested: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/user ... 18294.html

I'm currently a charming war-hero soldier who's good with an assault rifle. Bor-ing! I know. I'll replay it as an overly aggressive psychic female or something.

Morrowind is possibly the best game I have ever played. You need to have patience and put time and effort into it, though. It's not for when you need a quick fix.

Yeah well they like doing things backwards.

I didn't get to test out my 360 last night. We had some nasty winds yesterday that made our power flicker on and off. When my 360 red ringed yesterday it was right after the power went off. So maybe it was just a power surge. I will actually test it out tonight and see if there is any problems. What pisses me off is I just got my xbox live renewed and a of Left 4 Dead just last week, and now I may have to wait a month or so until I get to enjoy them.

Probably spent almost a year playing it: the expansions are pretty useless though.

New Halo 3 maps coming.

The DLC for GTA4 looks awesome, and it's a 360 exclusive. :P

The Fallout 3 DLC also looks awesome, and again it's 360 exclusive.

I also can not wait for the Fable 2 DLC.

Oh and can any PS3 user who has online download the new Lord of the Rings game demo? I hear it's not very good, which saddens me because I had high hopes for it. I just want an opinion from somebody off of this site because I "know" you guys better than the random people from IGN. Please and thank you.

You're right there. Spent an hour on it last night and barely got anywhere.

I've only seen the DLC for GTA4 but that looks pretty damn badass. Guess Microsoft will get their moneys worth after all.

What kind of character are you playing? It's best to make a custom character instead of the presets, gives you a lot more to play around with. Also, magic is a bit underpowered, especially if you're a pure spellcaster.

It's best to hang around towns and do side quests, the main quest can wait. The middle part of the main quest also involves a LOT of walking, so lay off on that for a bit. Get into a guild right away in Balmora, preferably also a noble house - House Hlaalu in Balmora being my favourite, but of course it depends on your skills.

Dark Elf Witch Hunter. Answered the Priest's questions and that was the result.

So I started a little diet on wii fit today!
haha.
Although I argue that some of the games are more logic than physical.

It's fun though!

I don't know about LBP, but I just completed the main quests of Fallout yesterday, and man is the game huge. I played it non-stop for nearly a month now, and even after all that I still haven't gone to all the locations there are.

Oh yeah GTA4 DLC looks great. Look up the Fallout 3 DLC if that interests you at all. There is 3 different DLC packs for Fallout 3 that are all different and look equally awesome. Not to mention Left 4 Dead DLC.

It will be a good few months of gaming. Too bad my xbox is screwed...

So I decided I'm getting a PS3. Took a while to determine that's what I want and not a 360 but I'm pretty sure. 360's got more games I want, but PS3 has games I want more, which is important since it means I'll end up spending less.

My brother's got a 360 and he's cool about letting me play it, but that's only a few months out of the year when I'm home from school. One of my suitemates has one, but he's kind of a dick when it comes to sharing (despite the fact that all of my stuff other than my computer stays in the common room, and he comes and goes in my room as he pleases). So I only get to play when he wants a Left4Dead partner.

But at the end of the day, I'm more about RPGs than FPSs, and so I can get over the fact that I've got a 360 dangling in front of my face without access to it.
