Haha yeah, I have no problem with "Black Hole of Bullshit".. it's lumping in Grindcore with the rest that irks me. ;)

I have a side bet with myself that Emokid will show up later to defend Metalcore's honour too..

This was actually my idea, I told them that it would be better to lose the nu metal and rapmetal, because noone gives a shit, and change it to grindcore, hardcore and metalcore, because it doesn't have any place yet. I suggested other music as well, but unfortunately they took it wrong and gave it a very negative sound. I'd just have called it "other music" or something...

Grindcore is awesome, when done correctly. The problem is that there are so many grind bands doing the same thing that people have to latch on to one or two different ones that do something they like, and ignore everyone else.

A great start for grind is Pig Destroyer's Terrifyer, a masterwork of an album. Not pure grind, but if you like that and have a sense of humor, you should be ready for Cephalic Carnage's Anomalies or Lucid Interval. From there, you can branch off into several different categories:

Pure Grind:
Napalm Death - Scum, From Enslavement to Obliteration
Nasum - Inhale/Exhale, Human 2.0, Shift

Noise Grind:
Anal Cunt - Everyone Should Be Killed, I Like It When You Die, The 56433 Song EP
Wolf Eyes - Burned Mind

Tech-Grind:
Pig Destroyer - Explosions in Ward 6, Prowler in the Yard
Cephalic Carnage - Exploiting Dysfunction.

These are some basic categories, and famous (to grind freaks, that is) bands that fit into them.

From there, it's a journey in itself to discover what else there is.
