Comus--Diana

This has such a high rating on RYM, but I do not get it all. The vocals are seriously some of the most annoying sounds I've ever heard. Music is pretty good, but it's impossible to get past the vocals when they're present.

HaHaHa yeah.
The vocals are pretty annoying indeed, still i think it's supposed to be part of the whole "Freak Folk" thing.

Checking out the first RatM album since this guy in my class told me it was so much better than their later stuff.

Very true. I'm not a huge fan of the later stuff, but their first album is pretty good, better especially on the music side. They're actually pretty entertaining if you can just accept the rapping as part of the music. Very informed political lyrics, IMO.

So I still hate Rage against the Machine. The rapping is possibly tolerable but the rest of the music is just boring. Morello is annoying for the most part. The lyrics are interesting but I just can't remain interested in this kind of music for long.

All three full albums are great, IMO, although Evil Empire is a bit of an acquired taste. I can't see why someone would find the music off S/T or Battle for LA to be boring though. Battle... is probably my favourite of their albums. Maria, New Millenium Homes, Guerilla Radio etc :dio:

The Faceless -- Coldly Calculated Design

Hmm... more Metalcore with Progressive elements... Still kinda lame. But there's a nice solo.

The new one will be reviewed very soon, and I'll get around to Carheart eventually, I hope.
