 That quote is classic material! Seriously, though... well, it's Edguy. Sounds catchy as ever... it sure won't win them new fans. Have to say I kind of like Tobi's attitude. Hooray for artistic freedom and death to the trendies. :dio:

One thing is for sure, when you have money you can afford hot chicks in your videos.

Sounds better than anything off Rocket Ride, which is a major plus!

I kind of like it better now when I watched the video. Hope the album will be a bit faster and heavier though... :) Still, it's Edguy, so it's gotta be good.

Song wasn't bad. Although it has its Eurovision moments... Stupid song titles on the new album though.

Really? I don't see why there's so much hate on that album. Sure, it had a few duds (and a crappy single in Superheroes), but some songs were pretty awesome, IMO. Love Sacrifice and The Asylum. It was just different.

Well, there was "Hair Force One" and on Rocket Ride... but Tobi always had this wacky humor in some lyrics (like Trinidad). It's just that now it's starting to show more from the song titles. As long as the music's good, I don't really care. I'd rather see this kind of humor than stuff like "The power of the great sword to slay the dragon in the great dark fortress of the abyss..."

... you get the point. :P

Yeah I get the point.. However I'm somewhat expecting some seriousness from the guy. Then again, I'm not that into Edguy.

I totally hear you, though. I myself hate (most) parody bands and lately Tobi's been verging on that a bit and letting his attitude out more. It's kind of making me cautious about it all. Although thankfully, musically they never really lost it. The last album was a bit more hard rock-ish AOR at times but not complete crap.

As long as they keep their shit together musically, then I'm good. The new single is already showing great promise for the new album.

It was just a bit dull really. Every album that they did progressively inproved in some way, but for Rocket Ride it lacked that "oomph" that the previous efforts had. Not a bad album by any stretch, but by far their worst.

That's true, though. Besides the title track, there weren't any real fast crackers on it... and like I said, most of the tracks were more hard rock than power metal. Oh well... I'm sure it won't be Mandrake but the new one looks promising from the single.

I for sure want him to go a bit back to the stuff he did on "Hellfire Club". The material was very varied, plus it had everyhting that's good about Edguy. And I agree with you metalxxx, they don't need to have half the album going all "Lavatory Love Machine" or "Fucking With Fire". We've had enough doses of that stuff already. So as long as the new album is a little bit less silly in lyrics and bit speedier with a bombastic punch, I'm sure I'll like it.

I heard this again a few days ago and it starts out great with Sacrifice, the title track and Wasted Time but now I find songs like Matrix, Fucking With Fire and Trinidad fucking boring. The first half is great but then it starts becoming shit, except for Asylum and maybe Catch of the Century, if only for the monologue at the end.

The video looked cool and all, with the hot chicks and stuff. Song was kinda ok/good, but I think I've heard that riff and chorus melody before... :lame:

Tobias' current hairstyle looks that of an 50 year old man reliving his rock laden youth. He also now bears similarity to that silly frontman from The Darkness
