From that list, I'd have to say Blind Guardian, though Stratovarius are a close second. And lol to Frigid, there is no way SA are the best in the list, one awesome album isn't enough to make them the best.

need to make a new poll.
should add Virgin Steele, DragonForce, and PowerQuest to the poll. Drop Nightwish as they are symphonic and not pure power metal.

Also Rhapsody are symphonic, and also Angra are symphonic(and prog)....and DragonForce are crap. :P

Though Rhapsody and Angra are mainly power metal.

I don't get all the negativity about Rocket Ride, sure it's different from Hellfire Club but it's still awesome, even though not as good as HC.

Rocket Ride is outstanding. I seem to like the kind of Power Metal everyone else seems to hate and vice versa.

I hated Blind Guardian when I heard them. I couldn't tolerate the harmonize vocals at all. If he would have mixed one of the vocals dominate in the mix it might have had a shot. But I think i've given them a fair shake and can easily say Blind Guardian sucks.

IMO the vocals are awesome, part of the BG sound. But even better I love the 'medieval' style guitar tone they have on NIME.

Never seemed to get into "Mandrake" for some reason. The style on that album is pretty similar to "HC", right? That's another album I'm gonna have to crank out rather soon.
