2000 in the first week? I'd say that's pretty good for a metal guitarist. I didn't even know it was out yet.

The tracks he has for sample are amazing! :dio:

Never really bothered to check out Yngwie. Maybe I shall get my hands on this one... By the way, where did you find the sample?

If you never bothered checking Yngwie, imho, you should try with his debut whicj, though in great need of a remaster, is still his finest. :dio:

Yeah check the front catalog. Rising Force - Odyssey are probablly the best, but his latest efforts are pretty good too.

Oh and the samples are on the website link in the article.

I've never really gotten into Malmsteen for some reason, maybe I'm just anti guitar wankery. But I gotta admit he's got some really good songs.

Oh by the way, how much more gay could a cover get? Haha!

I've been a constant Yngwie fan since his Alcatrazz days (yes, I'm an old guy), and am thoroughly enjoying Perpetual Flame as well, but in addition, I think Tim Owens' vocal performance is his best yet, with a variety of styles from smooth and melodic to something a bit harsher. And a couple of good metal screams, of course. He is the "Scream Machine," you know.

It's not the best cover but the album is ok, not his best.
