2006 was an awesome year for metal, and this one got my 2nd place.
Negura Bunget is def one of the most innovative black metal bands out there, can't wait for a new release.

Nice review.

Congrats for a beautiful review.

Just 2 corrections: Ceasuri Rele is more accurately translated as Evil Hours, or eventually Bad Hours, rather than Dark Times; Cunoasterea Tacuta actually means Silent Knowledge, not Silenced Knowledge.

And a trivia detail: Dedesubtul, Norilor and De Piatra are titles almost meaningless on their own (because of some particularities of the grammar), but when you read them together you get Underneath the clouds of stone.

Huge necro bump, I know; but, I'm wondering if people just didn't reply to this review or they just don't know about this album. This is something everybody should check out. Some of the best music I've ever heard.

I was just listening to this a few hours ago. Truly outstanding piece of BM art.

That it is.

Cnote11:
I missed the review because I was absent from the forums at the time, but it is my very favorite album and I hype it constantly on the forum.

Ah, I was absent at the time as well. I nominate this for the classics section  Blew my mind the first time I heard it (and every time since). It was definitely something I was searching for musically.

This album is purely transcendental.

So Steve gave this one a 100. First he owns up to Agalloch, then I discover this. Fuck, how could I allow myself to be so trolled by Steve before...

Still the best album I've heard.

I believe their tour to North America was a personal budget made by the band themselves.

Their tour was extremely limited in the US.

Edit--Actually it was very comprehensive in the Western/Southern part of the US, just not where I live.

Could a visa issue have held them Alex? Seems odd when they were in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, California for them not to head a bit further south.
