The new ALMAH record “Fragile Equality” is a display of first class musicianship, compositions on the highest level and the voice of Edu Falaschi, who has never ever sounded better .

Diversity is the key. “Fragile Equality” starts with a pure power metal attack, named “Birds Of Prey”, then it continues with an action-packed symphonic anthem (“Beyond Tomorrow”) with a furious chorus, followed by “Magic Flame”, a melodic speed metal masterpiece. Songs like the progressive title track and “Torn” even include thrash metal-like elements, but all wrapped into velvet vocals melodies and fantastic harmonies. The (semi) ballad “Invisible Cage” also display the Brazilian folk roots that were a trademark of Angra.

I will be keeping an out eye out for this one.....

I just gave the song "You'll Understand" (posted on their MySpace) from their new CD a listen and it does sound really really good. The vocalist is reminiscent of Ralf Scheepers. This CD is now on my radar.

Thanks for the heads up. I've never heard of these guys until now.

The vocalist is Edu Falaschi from Angra.

I can't figure this out.

The promo label from the first album says the artist is "edu falaschi" and the album is "Almah"

So was candlelight records wrong on that?

I did notice on the commercial release which included artwork (candlelight promos don't have any art, just a sticker and the cd-r has generic labelling) Edu's name appears.

So should I retcon my artist tags to say "almah" as that is now correct? or should it be "Falaschi, Edu - Almah" in the artist field. (That is the format I use for bands with a name in them, example "Allen, Russell - Atomic Soul" is the artist, or "Labrie, James - Mullmuzzler" and the album is "Mullmuzzler 2"

This prevents nonsense such as "Luppi's Heaven, Michele" in an artist field.

So if anyone knows the artist is for the first one let me know. Sorry about how confusing this post was, I thought it needed explaining.

My copy of Almah's- Fragile Equality , just arrived in the mail....Its been a while since I have liked an album from start to finish.....

The album´s lyrical concept is about “the balance between all the elements of the universe “, based on a book that Edu was the cowriter for. Its a very good album and a must for Angra fans..
