as long as it is not reviewed by a disillusioned subjective elitist fan, I will be pleased to read it as soon as possible

Yes, and it will be given a fair review.

I think there are enough new music to review to focus on old releases only if they can be labelled as classic... And though it's a fun band, I don't see anything by Exciter deserving a classic rank.

Don't you like old music? I don't get your point. Why should we focus on new music? Old music was way better.

I think the forums (and the rest of the internet info available) are here for us to investigate on old reviews. The reviews should be informative of the new releases to tell us what's good and what isn't.

I also disagree on saying old music was better. It's just been filtered by the years so that what we remember of it now is the best of it.

Nothong wrong with being nostalgic. I sometimes am too.
I just feel metal reviews should be informative, that's all.

Sometimes I mull around the site by selecting a genre and searching from there. I noticed that not even nearly all of your reviews pop up. I want to see every review of the genre I pick. Why can't I see them all???

Erm, some of them might not be linked properly. Let me know of any you find and I'll try and get it sorted.

So I hear you guys were sent Disrepair Part Two - The Pleasure Fled, by Mechanical Organic. I just got it in the mail myself, and I love it.

I'm curious. Are you going to review this one, or give in to your own ignorance and call it another racist album like you did with Disrepair Part One - Permafrost Dreams, and not review it?

You may take this as me picking a fight, but I'm not. I just find it odd that you guys never went to the source to ask what the meaning was behind that first album. If you had, maybe you'd have realized that your labeling of "racist" was foolish and wholly ignorant.

Ed Kratz is a good dude, and surely not a racist. I think he deserves a bit more respect than MetalReviews.com has shown him in the past.

Jesus, that was over a year and a half ago, couldn't you have brought it up any sooner? Can barely remember it, to be honest, so I'll decline to comment. No idea who got sent DP2-TPF, wasn't me.

The fact that he sent the second part, after you refused—as a team, according to you—to not review part one because it was deemed racist, I think the timing is just right and very relevant.

In fact, as a team, you guys should openly apologize.

Not sure. He said he sent a copy, that's all I know.

Like I said, not trying to pick a fight.

Right, well the easiest way to sort this is by talking to the sendee directly, obviously. If I knew who it was I could bring it up with them, although considering over half the team now weren't reviewers then getting a team apology will be rather difficult. Neither me nor the then-team meant any insult to either Monsieur Kratz or yourself, I'm sure.

I take no offense. I told you at the time that I thought the interpretation of the album was incorrect, but I wasn't offended.

Maybe by asking Ed directly what his motivation and message behind the album is would help. Maybe reviewing part one and two would be a gesture of goodwill.

Of course, I do recall you saying you thought the album sucked so maybe that won't help.
