It may be my tiny computer speakers, but is that Hansi on "The Fire Still Burns?"

The most diverse (and best) DragonForce album yet. I love how they go all Dream Theater-ish in the middle of the third song.

Bottom line, it kills. Anyone who says otherwise smells bad.

You're about the last person I would expect to say something like that. Maybe I should have a listen...

I have a feeling they recorded this whole album for Guitar Hero. Like a Guitar Hero: Ultra Beatdown. Also, I don't get what's supposedly great about it, I am very biased though, so whatever.

This album is boring as fuck. Slow melodic intro, keyboard break, then super ultra fast soloing for seven minutes.

Sounds like they finally learned how to write a proper song... sure, the damn solos are still pro-tooled to death and way too long but that's Dragonforce. The good things about this one is that they learned what "tempo change" means and the vocals are helped by this in that ZP doesn't have to sing as fast as he can all the time to keep up.

Good album, best of the band... but still, definitely won't win them many new fans.

It's still Dragonforce. It's what they've already done three times before but just arranged well enough for people to hype it as their best.

Valley of the Damned is by far their best.

After one listen, it's not bad. Much better than Inhuman Rampage...

I actually like music with some thought gone into it, thank you very much. This is formulaic as fuck.

I agree. I still think Valley and Sonic Firestorm are their best, but this is definitely a step up from their last one.

So is Sonata Arctica, back in their old days. Just Stratovarius without the gaytarded vocals/lyrics.
