Ah the legendary Voyager controversy. Perhaps I was a bit harsh on it, but I guess I was a bit put out that one of the most consistent bands around had put out a mediocre record.

But of course they've never made a record completely devoid of merit. Even The Circus Maximus had some good stuff!

i refuse to accept your premise that it's mediocre, "Butchers of the Sea", "Tree of Life", "Voyager", "Return of the Serpent King", and "Totentanz" are immense.

I don't get Voyager at all...

It was weird. I watched a documentary on a Death Cab for Cutie tour for a few minutes the other day, and some parts of their music strangely remind me of GY!BE crescendos o_0. They're definitely better than I thought.

Yesterday evening a drooled into the microphone while rehearsing due to extreme concentration...


But it turned out to be allright.
