I like it but agree with those that mentioned the scroll within a scroll... hopefully that can get fixed at some stage but in the meantime the old forum is more user friendly.

I'm sorry for saying this (I actually registered only to do so);

The new design is HORRIBLE. I can't stand it. I've been using this site frequently (reading reviews, which I enjoy) for the past years, but unless something drastic is done about the design I'm afraid I'll have to find another site.
The old design was nothing much, but it worked fine. When I see this new one it feels like my eyes are going to start bleeding, put aside the double scroll bar.
Don't take this the wrong way, I love this site and all the reviews. But now it feels like opening a double-scrolling matryoshka doll every time I want to read a review :wacko:

i think the top bar is awesome, but the main section is a little too cluttered with the picture in the background, the flaming text titles and album covers on the sides

Agreed.
It should be simpler, it would, then, be more stylish.

yeah. imo websites should have borders between pictures and text and the two should never come into contact except maybe for the websites logo.

Everyone seems to prefer a more simpler overall style. If the inside scroll bar is due to an iframe than that should be easy to fix and I would definitely try to get rid of the scroll bar no matter what. The new site is definitely just too vibrant, active and overall distracting.

After further examination:

++Top bar (way cool)
+Album covers on main page

-flaming skeletons on side...too bright
-2 scroll bars
-Main page a bit cluttered
-Artwork on the bottom...why not just let us access it at MetalArt?

I agree that the top bar is nice. Maybe if the other parts of the site were modified to leave out the scrolling, then it could work. The idea with pictures on the sides is not bad either, but flaming skulls is just too much.

It's a good design for the page, but not for the forum.
I don't like the little flaming skulls, the medium and big are good.

You always can enter in the forum using this link, to avoid double scrollbar and similars.:
