Use your fucking brain, apart from a financial, time and songwriting standpoint there could be 1000000 reasons.

I thought Xecutioner's Return was just fine. And they can still put on one hell of a show.

Boooo

You may actually have a point in that the songwriting on Xecutioners return could have been better. I loved it at first but now listening back a few times I find it hard to work out exactly why, apart from the cool shiny new lead solos.

Solos are great, but the sludgy production completely butchers the album. It must have been some intentional attempt to sound retro, but its just so terrible it makes some already boring songs unbearable.

Ralph Santolla really makes a huge difference. But I think he should have stayed in Deicide, they need him more.

Obituary should totally do a Mayhem and go Doom. It'd be amazing.

Very true, he didn't transform Obituary in anything like the way he transformed Deicide.

Does it really matter? With some bands these days releasing full lengths that go for just 25 minutes *cough* Merciless Death *cough*.... the line between EP and full length is a little blurred. It's all just sweet new music for us, and thats all that matters.
