Alright, so I've been getting into Made in Japan a lot recently, and I was wondering where I should go from there, in terms of studio albums and the like?

Seriously, everything before the '84 Reunion of Mark II is fucking excellent. Scratch that, it's all essential.

But for the love of god, don't miss out on Burn. I love Mark II Deep Purple with all my heart, and Machine Head, Fireball, and In Rock are all very close to being the best album.

But for me, you just can't go past the Mark III debut album, Burn. The whole disc slays from beginning to end, utterly ridiculous rock n roll glory.

Coverdale and Hughes FTW.

Don't forget to check Perfect Strangers, one of the best comebacks in metal history. (And my first Deep Purple record)
