72-73-ish for me. I like this album alright, it's a decent and catchy listen. Lacks that special something to put it truly over the top, though. I agree the metalcore label is a bit inappropriate, although thrash metal isn't what I'd call them either - I'd personally put them in whatever genre Pantera and Machine Head belong in (groove metal?).

Come to think of it, "Nothing Remains" is a really killer tune. More of that and I'd rate it considerably higher.

If this is anywhere near as good as The Blackening I might be interested in checking this out. I guess I'll wait till next week to see if you think the newer Chimaira is better.
