After nearly 3 months of graduating and moving back with my folks, I've finally been offered a job.....and I'm fuckin acceptin it!!!

3 months have been a long time for me. All I've done is just sit at home, apply to firms and attending interviews. I don't have any proper working experience but I do have a helluva lot of interview experience. So, you guys can figure how many interviews I've been to.

Even in my final month at college I was offered a job but I felt it didn't suit me, besides the peanut paycheck at a company situated miles from any form of civilization.

Then when I graduated in December I went for a few interviews and was offered a few jobs, but I didn't like the sight of myself being a helpdesk operator attending to customer's rants over a faulty product.

And, trust me, any longer being a jobless bum, either me or my mum would be driven through the concrete wall. She kept harping on me etc. Many a times I raised my voice and I feel fuckin bad about it.

So....finally.....a friend of mine who's a copywriter is leavin his present company for a bigger one, leaving his place void, and his employer desperate to fill it. That's where I hopped in. And the best part is the interview. Guess where we had it? At a fuckin Starbucks at one of the malls in the city! Within 20 minutes the employer just asks "So how? Would you accept it?" Hell yeah!!!

Oh, btw, the friend of mine who's leavin is my guitarist. And this is the perfect reason for me to relocate to the city since everyone in my band is there.

And guess what? It's an advertising related job and everyone practices a casual environment....meaning I can wear what I want and grow my hair FREAKIN long!! Hellelujah!!!

Congrats! Good luck with your job.

A little advice, by the way.

When you're working your job: Network, Network, Network!

Well thanks, guys! I'll definitely take your advices, don't worry.

To Brahm:
Yeah I went out drinking with my buddies last night. I had mixed feelings bout it. Firstly, they bought Privilege Vodka (a so called sub of Absolute) and it was shite. Sick stuff. But we were like "Ah, what the hell..." and we downed 2 bottles of it and all of us were pissed drunk. 2 of my buddies KO-ed and it was a trouble getting them back into their homes as they were underaged. But somehow we did. I'm glad I drove back safely and crashed for 12 hours.

To metal_xxx:
Damn, son!!! Didn't know you remembered!! She's fine. We eventually had a split for a while and now we're starting things from scratch. Everything's goin pretty fine but seriously the distance is still a major problem. I only get to see her once in every 1 or 2 months. She's very happy for me and I'm glad she is. She's goin through a rough patch at medical school at the moment and I'm glad I have a part in consoling her. Helps strengthen things

:P

To Dago:
Never, not even in your dreams

What are you studyin, Az? And what do you plan to do?

Anyway, the first week has passed and everything seems fine. The slack part is the traveling. I work a good 80km away from home. I wake at 5 in the morning and only get back home by 8 at night. I', still searching for a place to stay but it's gonna take time as I need to check out the transportation accessibility. I'm relying on buses and trains at the moment and I need to know the routes and times if I'm moving to the city.
