Yeah there is a huge antiemo crusade here in Mexico right now, but its not a metalhead movement, it all started with a smartass tv show conductor who expressed his hate on emos during his show, and now everyone is talking about beating emos and all that shit, the guy is an idiot really who just wants to be controvertial for the sake of it, but it has nothing to do with metal.

Anyway those guys are a bunch of assholes, one thing is to make fun of Emos but to actually beat a kid just by the way he looks its just idiotic, we do tend to beat the shit out of Sonata Arctica fans though

Really it's really not ok or anything to attack somebody for no special reason, poor emos did nothing to them. But that's not all instead of one (or maybe two) guys attacking them, the whole fucking mob raided there, not okay in any matter.

I think in this case, no. I don't think you'd enjoy it if you were hanging out with your friends and a mob came and beat the shit out of all of you, just because of what music you listened to, or for any other reason. I can't see why anyone would say "ha ha ha ha ha cool those emo kids got beaten up- did you see that one trying to escape that was scared shitless, he got punched in the face and fell to the ground where some more people beat him up, hahahahahaha." These were teenagers who were hanging out. I personally don't like emo music or emo culture, but I think we'd agree that what we consider "good people" don't go around beating others with a mob at their back because they don't like a genre of music.
