Ensiferum - Ad Victoriam

This is my first listen of Victory Songs and I quite like it.

That album is great, don't let anyone tell you different (they will).

Behexen- By the Blessing of Satan

This is more like it.... no more synthesized zombi-soundtracks for me.

Bal-Sagoth- The Chtonic Chronicles.

Fuck, how very awesome this is, even with the preposterously long and stupid interludes.

Dimmu Borgir -- Det Nye Ricket

One of the best symphonic "intro" songs for a Black Metal album that I've heard.

It is amazing. And stop highlighting the fact that they are nazis! The songs are well thought out and i doubt many people would understand their political ideas just by reading their lyrics...

I think their lyrics are pretty blatantly white supremacist (they deal with the slave trade). I think the reason they get so much flak is because they don't dress up their beliefs in any form of Odinism or paganism, unlike NSBM bands. Let's face it, Rob Darken comes off as pretty harmless.

Lamb of God--Laid to Rest

How can people hate this band? The riff in this song always gives me the chills. More spectacular when listened to in succession of Ashes of the Wake.
