Anonymous v. Scientology

I only just bothered to check out all the youtube vids from the 10/02/08 protests and i must say, I'm impressed!

I thought i'd see a bunch of whiny internets nerds in masks but no, they actually looked pretty serious.

Any thoughts?

it's looking better and more organised than i expected, but i doubt it'll get them anywhere. even if it doesn't destroy the church, if they manage to show the world just how ugly the church is on the inside it'll be good enough.

I can't go to 4chan anymore. I just can't. It's full of a bunch of self-important moral cockfags and it sickens me to no end.

Scientology is still retarded, don't get me wrong, but "Anonymous" is pissing me off too. I'll be happy if both of them go down in flames.

Hypocrisy at its finest. Scientology is equally as ridiculous as any other religion.

It should all be burned. Religion does nothing more than hinder the progression of society.

i think scientology is worse than any moderate religion. there are well-intentioned priests and what not, but i find it hard to believe that anyone within scientology is in it for anything but money.

At first I thought anon was doing this because they thought what scientologists believe in is stupid. I think it is, but it's still a belief, so I didn't like what anon was doing. But apparently they don't have anything against the belief, but against the church. Having people introduced to the religion, and then demanding money for a chance to be saved. Scientology is driven by money, nothing else.

I actually know somebody who attended one of these Scientology protests. What drove her to do it was an incident she heard about where a woman died of pulmonary embolism at a Scientologist retreat. Apparently, the woman demonstrated signs of serious illness the whole time and nobody suggested that she be transplanted to a hospital. Pretty creepy stuff, I would think :unsure:
