Only recently have I gotten into this band. I remember hearing about them long time ago and I passed it off as a black metal band, its better to actually listen to the music before passing judgement I've learned from that. I listened to Black Metal and Metal Black, love em both. So I'm pretty excited about a new album.

Actually, except for Calm Before The Storm that I've never liked, all Venom albums have their lot of good tunes... :D

I actually liked "Calm Before The Storm" alot...that was one of the best produced Venom albums at the time....and some killer songs!

Good news. Metal Black was seriously pretty ok! The first time I heard it I had a sort of "ehh whatever" reaction, then the next couple of times I thought it was fucking brilliant. I've since realised it's hampered by a couple of weak songs but its still a tidy album, especially considering the stage of their career that it was released.

The trac k order was pretty baffling, but other than that, Metal Black is fun times.

I also like Calm Before the Storm. Mike Hickey is badass. That album also should have proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Venom boys have their tongues planted firmly in cheek.
