Very true. Laiho isn't bad, but at a guitar level there's a lot better than him out there. Also, for some strange reason, I can't stand that stupid little fuck. Didn't someone post some quotes? What a moron.

honestly mate, if you think there are, 'a lot better' guitarists out there you need to listen to his solos again. The guy is one of the very fucking best. Doesn't matter what you think of him, his playing speaks for its self. The first time i saw them his playing was jaw dropping, they were so much better then both the live albums they're released. I've only seen one or two guitarist who are as good as him and they were my tutors at college (guthrie govan anyone???). Rly, hes fucking amazing!

You've been tutored by him? Who else?

Laiho is not a bad guitarist, not at all. But he is not top notch.

lol, well to be fair guthrie is possibly the best guitarist in the world, alexi is not as good as him by a long shot. I would say the best other guitist for just technical ability that i got taught by was paul bielatowicz.

Actually, GOOD mid tempo songs are much harder to write than fast ones, at least IMO. U can write a fast song with almost whatever decent riff and it would still sound good coz it just rox with the power of pace alone, but if you write a mid tempo song with an average riff it tends to get lame and boring.

Used to be a big fan but with each album since FTR I have been getting less impressed.

Just stumbled upon the video for Blooddrunk, sounds decent, the beginning distantly reminds me of Bed of Razors. I'd say it's a step up from AYDY, but it won't come near FTR or Hatebreeder.

Fine, I'll be the first to say it then. As long as it isn't anything like that fucking abortion "something wild" I'll be happy.

Children Of Boredom have reached their creativity peak many years ago, now its just a case of putting out subpar releases until the band ends.

Indeed, they should follow Stratovarius example and just call it quits.

I think this album is great, but I've liked everything they've done... no idea why people hate them now :|

It's not hate... It's just that CoB used to be a much better band...

That was due to creative tension, not because a few metalheads on an internet board prefer their older material...

In two minds about the new album. I like that it's more thrashy and keyboardy than AYDY, but the songwriting's gone down the plughole, only a couple of memorable songs there... low-to-mid 70s.

I don't know what to think of the new cd HB & FTR were great then we had HCD which was ok . ARDY wasn't my thing and Blooddrunk is better but just hasn't done much for me yet.
