I would like to play some GH III with you wii folk sometime. I'll post my code up soon.

I would definetly be up for a bit o' that.

If you're good you can easily win, hard mode has more notes.

Accidently... See capitalism is eating you from the inside. Don't let that happen!

Key words there are "if you're good." I'm still trying to get through the end of One and Number of the Beast on Hard.

Awesome. I'm stuck on Lou on hard, but seeing as the battles are more about luck than skill...

yeah, that's true, comrade, thanks for the advice - I will remember those words the next time things like this is about to happen " Hmm... what would Dago have said if he was here?"... - but hey, at least i didn't spend another 4000$ on a new Korg keyboard :P ... I would really like one of those, but it would be a waste of money - cuz i still can't play and I don't have any space left in my tiny dorm room.

Mass Effect

awsome game... just a shame that bugs occur from time to time concerning your team mates. One time I wasn't able to revive a dead team member, he stayed dead on a stair, however, he woke up every 10th second only to utter " All clear" and then he would go back to being dead. Another time my team mates wouldn't move at all even though i commanded them to follow me. It can be solved by reloading the game, but it is annoying if you haven't saved in a while.

I think the next game I pick up (excluding downloading Undertow tomorrow  ) will be Mega Man X Collection. I rented it a few days ago, and I was reminded of how great a game the original Mega Man X was (unfortunately, I never got around to buying it when I still had my SNES hooked up  ). Mega Man X's 2 through 6 I played for the first time when I rented the compilation. And they were also quite awesome from what little I played of them.

Downloaded Undertow for XBLA. Very cool game. It's basically a strategy/shooter hybrid set under the sea. Reminds me a little of an underwater version of Pikmin, actually.

I'm thinking about getting the Metal Slug Anthology myself. Its got 1-6 ( the sixth title was never previously released). Any thoughts on that?

I've actually never played a Metal Slug game before, so I can't really comment. Perhaps I should sometime? What's it like?

it's awesome!

it's a 2d sidescrolling shooter, you just go ahead and shoot everything that moves. i played the first MS and MS2, and they're both killer.

it can get quite hard, though, and i can't finish it without resorting to infinite lives on my emulator.

btw, get a newgeo emulator.

Can you tell me where to find such an emulator for Metal Slug? I've been looking all over for it. Awesome game that cost me quite a lot of money in the arcades of my youth.

Google WinKawaks. I think that's the one I used when I played NeoGeo.

I am still sucked into HALO 3. I've been taking my time getting through the game on Heroic level. I'm going after Cortana now. I can't wait to play the game on Legendary.

I have the Metal Slug Anthology for the wii - i think i gave £12-15 on amazon.. also have them as roms on the computer, i prefer playing them on a console. Anywho, it's pretty sweet. But after the first 8-10 hours it get less enjoyable, but so far i have only played it alone, i think it would be much more fun to play with another person along with some beer etc.

Metal slug X is my favourite so far. Lot's of things to blow up, and lots of pork! (meaning you'll get fat and shoot with extra large bullets) :P

You've just described why I often avoid emulators (unless I just want to play something once or twice out of curiosity, or may be buy it in the future). It just isn't the same as playing games on a real console.
