In Finland there was a case where a man had rape over 50 boys aged 7-12 years and he probational sentence on three years or so and had to pay together about €20.000 to the boys. The defense lawyer told that he was buying sex from these kids since he had provided them with alcohol and tobacco and that he should only be charged for buying sex for underage kids! Another guy had raped and killed a underage girl and he was sent to prison for 3 years. Well actually he was sentenced to 6 years, but since it was his first time in jail he got away with just sitting 3 years. If this guitarist was trialed in Finland I think he would have gotten away with a probational sentence.

People in Finland always laugh at the ridiculous American system with its 1 million dollar sentence for a stupid girl who burns herself on McDonalds hot coffee or stupid guy that got millions in damages since the instruction manual did not warn that making coffee and driving the same time might cause collissions. However, we got the exact opposite problem here in Finland which could be seen as a paradise for criminals.
