Drink lots of sparkling water, and avoid Rennies etc b/c not only are they mostly chalk, but they can cause food allergies as they let undigested food passes through your gut. If you have a real problem with stomach acid like my Da (and it looks like me in future years) these things called Zantac are great, but to be used very sparingly...

What are the chances... there's a pack on Zantac on the shelf. Probably shouldn't neck a handful though.

Christ, no. I wouldn't even advise it for everyday heartburn. Do you have a persistent problem with too much acid? If not, I'd leave well alone, or have half, or even a quarter of a tablet at the most. They can cause serious problems, stomach ulcers being the least of it.

Apparently the press have toned down the whole "muderous coke-dealing kids TV presenter" angle on the story now.

Whaaaat? That's absolutely mental-I went on a media trip to London in June and saw him in the BBC; I was all "WAAAAY MARK FROM SMAAART" and he gave me his chocolate muffin. He actually kicked arse.

He was my childhood hero. Remember when they'd go around the country in the sMart van and go around schools? I desperately wanted them to come to my school. But they never did.

Well considering that for a split second our skin met I think that on his behalf I can say he would have done. Mark, our hero.

it's in Portuguese but it's so surreal i'll translate part of it (and if your spanish is good you may be able to read the actual story):
Murdered for simulating sex with a refrigerator

so the killer was having lunch at a restaurant, and the victim, a 40-something year-old austrian, walked in drunk and simulated sex with a refrigerator. the killer interpreted that as an offense to his girlfriend, and couldn't get that off his mind while he worked in the field that day, throughout which he took drugs, he confessed.

despite his colleagues' advice to just forget about it, he decided to meet the austrian, and took a machete* just to be safe (wtf?).

they talked and smoked 2 joints, and the austrian commented that the killer's girlfriend might one day be his. it must've gone something like this:
"i know you're stoned and have a machete, but i thought i'd let you know that your gf may be mine some day".
the killer confessed he lost control, and the victim had 16 cuts in the head alone.

later, a swiss guy (who is being investigated for allegedly burning the bloodstained clothes) went to the victim's home with the killer, who cut the austrian a few more times. shocked with what he saw, he dropped his kid off in a "hiding place" (wtf, he brought his kid?!) and, in his own words, "we went off to get drunk somewhere else".

* the original report said "catana". i think they are referring to something like this:

a portuguese village with austrians and swiss, stoned agricultors, machete killings...

My friend did a really cool drawing of The Dark Side Of The Moon cover going into Colors in Art. I wish I'd thought of it first.

Nope, not yet. They will probably be up by the end of January.
