Wow! :omfg: I honestly never thought we would see any new material from these guys again. If the new album is nowhere near the quality of their first two I will be a very happy panda :)

I wish they could get Heiman to sing on it. Heiman could keep Heed as his main band and just go sing on the LH albums and do the occasional tour date. I'd rather have it that way than to have some inferior singer doing LH.

They will NEVER find someone as awesome as Daniel Heiman. He should quit Heed, which is a mediocre band as best, and return to Lost Horizon inmediately.

The idea of promoting their music and artwork through their own page without an intermediary is excellent, the creative process is untouched and free.

He is one of the best. But how long do they need to find someone else if they still haven't what's the chances of someone turning up soon?

Daniel Heiman = Best. Vocalist. Ever. As excellent as the songwriting of Lost Horizon may be, I really can't picture them without Daniel.

Heiman fits their music perfectly, he should do the vocals. Lets hope they find someone by the same quality

Agree with all postings here. Daniel should do the vocals. He's unparalleled. I'll try to stay optimistic, though, and say, maybe they'll find someone with a great voice for the new material - and it will be a new chapter for Lost Horizon. Fact will remain though - no one, and I mean NO ONE - will ever do "Highlander" justice like Daniel.

I agree with everyone so far, Lost Horizon will not be the same without Daniel. I still think that if the songwriting has the same bombastic quality as it had on the previous albums, it won't really matter how good the singer is as long as he's above mediocre. This is with the songwriting and intensity in mind, I consider the band's songwriting to be one of the best in metal, only rivaled by a few.

If the band somehow manages to find an unknown master that could compete in the same league as Daniel, I don't know if the world could survive the destruction the album would create... :)

I love Heiman, but Lost Horizon is about Wojtek. Everything else Heiman has done has been mediocre. Wojtek is LH.

+1

But Heiman is the best singer I have ever heard. Its impossible for them to be as good without Heiman.

If the new album sounds more like Awakening the World than A Flame to the Ground Beneath, they'll be fine without Heiman. But in their second album the riffs took a back seat, which is unfortunate. Heiman carried that album. But as we already know, he only was able to carry the album because that's how Wojtek wrote the album. Hopefully without him the other parts of the band will pick up the slack. "Many times in music if you are given limitations it expands the creativity" - Jason Becker.

Kind of like when someone goes blind, but then his other senses increase.

Whether or not he "should" or not sing for Lost Horizon anymore, he and Wojtek don't get along, so it'll never happen. We have to pick one or the other, and I'll pick Wojtek.

Besides, there are other bands who don't have Heiman on vocals who are good. If I don't hold against other bands that Heiman doesn't sing for them, I won't hold it against Lost Horizon either.

And also, Awakening the World was good enough that the third album can be significantly less good, and still be really good.

Oh yeah. Going by what happened to IE and JP. He should be the vocalist so that after a couple of years, Heiman joins back :P

Tony Moore should sing on the album....but that will never happen. Regardless, if Daniel doesnt rejoin Europe is stockpiled with talented singers who could fill the role nicely. In fact I'm pretty sure they have recieved audition tapes from a lot of truly awesome singers, but unfortunately, they need to find someone who is beyond fantastic. It'll be rough, but I'm sure there's someone out there. Besides, Lost Horizon, of all the new European metal bands, seem the least like a bunch of trend following pretty boys (Edguy), or melodeth mediocrity (I don't even have to name a band for this one, everyone knows at least fifty bands that fit this description). They do it for the right reasons, and however stupid they may look, they are incredible.

Tony Moore or Midnight would probably be the only acceptable substitutes.
