Thrash metal's all about being aggressive and in your face so maybe you discuss things in the wrong way here shitbreath. The album is wank. Poor production qualities, poor vocals, crap solos and drumming...But more than anything else the riffs. They're SHITE. The only song approaching anything good is Megamosh and it's just an Among the Living era rip off; Listen to the ATL title track and then that. It's a pisstake. Plus the song 'Megamosh' is about hating other metal genres and taking the piss out of the fans. Not cool. It used to be cool to be a thrash band who can't speak English for shit but now these guys have ruined even that most holy of thrash traditions-"Wop still Thrash" which is either shit English attempt at slang or something or just not very well explained, if the latter is true then: WOP STILL FUCKING THRASH? WHO OR WHAT IS WOP WHICH OR WHO WAS ONCE DEFINED AS THRASH WHO OR WHAT NO LONGER IS? WHY IS IT A BIG ENOUGH ISSUE TO CREATE A SONG OUT OF? Seriously, if you chose it for the awesome cover art then fair enough. Because that's the ONLY good thing about it.

I think the only thing you can accuse hyades from is that they are not original. But any thrash fan should not care about that since they do a great job of taking over the 80's thash style.
they sound like a mix of exodus, testament, hirax and anthrax, what is not to like about that.

Unconform #756 and New World War are great songs, and pharmageddon has great exodus riffs.
The production is not bad, they just wanted to give a 80's feeling to it, if you think this is not a good thrash album then you got shit in your ears. And thrash has not always been about good meaningfull lyrics. Hyades knows how to thrash, if you disagree fine by me, but that does not excuse you insulting me.
Why don't you go back listening to the latest metallica album.

No, the riffs are poor, and it doesn't have for example Exodus 'like' riffs, the band generally just rips the actual riff off.

Metalhead_Bastard said i clearly suck my own dick for liking the hyades album. I responded that that is just IMO.
He then gave his professional view on why the album is a piece of crap according to him, and I said why I like it. He then claimed that insulting someone is a thrash thing to do (what is not) but acting like a haughty prick is not the metal spirit. I am probably blowing this whole thing up, so for my part we can start discussing about something else.

I left it a while, and nobody did discuss anything else so clearly this is the argument everyone wants to see. If you don't remove Hyades from you list then you're polluting the world of metal. By actually allowing people to see the name of the band and then check them out is not only pure lunacy, it's outrageous. The fact that you would be willing to introduce people to this motley crew of robbers and thieves (that album was a tenner I'll never see again) I hereby declare your new forum nickname to be:

They don't have to actually listen to the album because i like it.
And i am not alone in liking the album, there are quite a bit reviews of this album and i haven't read one who said the album is bad. Most give it good critics (google it if you don"t believe me). And don't tell me all these people also don't know anything about metal or thrash for that matter.
