a great post-hardcore band from france. they play mostly mid-paced stuff but their drummer and guitarist sound so great i don't even care about the lack of tempo dynamics

and they did the by-donation thing for the release, so you can DL it for free:

Dloaded the other day and listened to a few tracks, not bad, not amazing. Will try again at some point. Long French song titles are cool, though.

man I'm totally in love with this album. it stays at the same pace for the whole time but that just makes it so that when they speed up its breathtaking, then when they get back into the original groove it's just as powerful. fuck. i just ordered a copy of it :D

Downloaded and on the second song...really liking it so far. I'm finding that I enjoy hardcore-type stuff a lot...I suppose Converge is up next.

So I've had this for a while...really, really good one song at a time but the tempo is really far too static for it to be listenable for much more than that. The songs just blend together and are really indistinguishable from one another. I probably sound too critical, though...still pretty good.

nah, i'd agree that the songs are all very similar. it's an atmosphere album where once it sinks in the fact that it's mostly around the same tempo becomes a positive by making each shift from the groove really intense and each falling back into the groove also very powerful

They released another album this year called Morte(s) Nee(s). It is as badass as the first two.

Don't they take any time to write these albums or what?

Not gonna lie, 2 songs in I turned on Neurosis instead. Though this isn't really an insult to Celeste so much as its a compliment to Neurosis.
