I heard my first song from these guys the other day, and I loved it. The song I believe was called Wrong Side, it was fast and awesome as well as werid and funny(?). So if I like this song will I like any of their other stuff? And if yes where should I start? My local store has three cd's and I thinking aobut buying one of them.

Wrong Side was off The New Black which isn't a bad SYL album, there are just better ones. City is usually considered the best but it's a lot more brutal then Wrong Side. The album Alien would probably be the next best place to start.

I'm going to say City is the place to start with SYL. The New Black is more of a mixture of Devy's solo work with SYL (almost like Physicist). This is my suggestion - City, Alien, Heavy as a Really Heavy Thing, The New Black, SYL. This actually gives me a really big urge to listen to some Strapping.

If you like Wrong Side I'd start with Alien, although City does kick major ass too

City has "Oh My Fucking God" on it.

...No more needs to be said.

Well, if anybody knows me they know I can take some brutal music. I just really liked Wrong Side, I actually just bought the New Black the other day because I saw it had that song on it. But I will look out for all these other albums.

Listened to City for the first couple of times lately actually, pretty good stuff and might grow on me further. I'm a huge fan of Fear Factory and some of City is not far removed from that I'd say, except it's much more extreme than FF. Detox has great riffage in any case and OMFG has awesomely over-the-top vocals.

I'm planning on picking up Alien as soon as I can--it'll be my first CD from SYL. I just can't stop listening to "Love?" and I'm sure that every other song is just as good. The lyrics on "Love?" are awesome, I have to mention...
