I'd say an 82 is about right. It's an excellent album, but it's certainly not in the same league as Abigail, Fatal Portrait or Them. It's the best album he's put out since the new millenium though, that's for sure.

One of my favs so far this year. I might give it something in the higher 80s, for the most part I agree with everything.

It should have been "Take My Soul... Please!"

(Take my wife, please!)

One hell of an album. I'll give it a 96/100.

I agree with doraemon, the 'King rules. Besides the music, the concepts are awesome, like The Graveyard, were a guy's daughter is buried alive by a psycho (I think). Anyway, metal's Alice Cooper basically.

Yeah great album, 82/100 sounds right to me, one of the best releases so far this year.

I just received this in the mail yesterday form Lala.com. In fact I'm listening to it now ( Never Ending Hill is currently playing). This is the first King Diamond CD that I've ever bought. I've always had a hard time with his voice but I thought what the hell I could be missing out on some great stuff. I'm glad I gave this a chance. I gave it a full listen yesterday. I'm impressed! This is a really great CD. Despite the overdubbed falsetto, it's great to hear someone actually singing. I get kind of worn out on growling all the time. Once again Metal Reviews does it's job in aiding narrow minded metal fans such as I to open their ears to other possibilities. Thanks MR!!

How is his past material? In particularly his last two or three CD's?

Puppet Master and House of god are both good I like his early albums best.

My friends always recommend his early solo stuff from the 80's as well. I guess I've become spoiled by modern production standards, so I find it hard to listen to stuff from the 80's. That's why I asked for an opinion on his last few CD's. Sounds crazy, I know. Is there a way to push levels on a recording once it's in your computer? Is there software that will do that sort of thing? Most of my 80's CD's (unless they've been remastered) sound really weak next to modern recordings.

Thanks. I'll definitely check into those two. :dio:
