I think this is pushing it. Why is this album a classic?

I remember listening to this album when it came up, and considering it rather weak, especially when compared to the two previous ones. I think I need to listen to it again, I have a feeling I'll like it more, but still I think it's far from being a classic. I actually went to a Moonspell concert a couple of weeks ago, and Sin/Pecado and Butterfly FX were the only albums the band did not cover (they even played a song from Under the Moonspell).
also, since when is Wolfheart black metal??? btw, their second album is called Irreligious, not Opium... and would make a much better choice for a classic.

I believe everybody has its own classics in mind... I have been an all time Moonspell follower and this one is by far my favorite and I consider it a classic whereas I don't consider Darkthrone or Mayem as classic

I like Irreligious the best, Wolfheart is 2nd best. Sin/Pecado is overrated, but is not bad.

Wolfheart is their best without a doubt; and no, it isn't Black Metal.

Oh and Darkthrone and Mayhem are classics even if you don't like 'em because they created a new genre and have influenced thousands of bands till date with their albums which also happen to be excellent in quality.

An album can be a classic even if you hate it; and there are albums that aren't clssics even though they're great and you love 'em.

Moonspell is in my 5 favourite bands...I 've heard all their albums a million times and still consider sin pecado to be their weakest album...The thing is that probably IMO opinion its their most important album because it was signaling the transition to the later moonspell album and especially to the trully magnificent antidote. But still don't consider it a classic but just a very very important album for the band. Irreligious and wolfheart on the other hand IMO are trully classics and i beleive in some years antidote will be as well

Wolfheart is their best album... actually the only one I care for.
While on the subject of classics, where are Mercyful Fate - Melissa, Venom - Black Metal, King Diamond - Fatal Portrait, Destruction - Infernal Overkill among others?
These godly albums should be given their due before albums like Sin/Piccado, in my ever humble opinion...
V.
